Weight Gain

I cannot believe how fast my little boy is growing.  The last time he was weighed was 11/4 and he was 10 lbs. 8 oz. which meant that he gained 3 lbs. his first month.  Today before his bath, we decided to weigh him and see if he was still gaining weight and he was almost 12 lbs.  (11 lbs. 13 oz. to be exact), which means he has gained 4 lbs. 5 oz. since he was born and he is 5 1/2 weeks old.  That seems like a lot to me, but our pediatrician said that you can't overfeed a breastfeeding baby, so I guess I am just going to attribute it to genetics.  After all, his daddy was 30 lbs. and 3 ft. tall at 1 year.  I doubt Grady will reach those numbers, but he is starting off strong!
